First-party cookies only
All cookies are set by our own analytics tool, built and operated by Aveniq. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel), and we do not sell or share cookie data. How we use the data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| __avq_pvid | A random ID for your browser so we can count distinct visitors. Contains no name or contact details. | 1 year |
| __avq_sid | Groups page views into one visit. | 30 minutes of inactivity |
| __avq_attr | Remembers the page and referral source of your first visit. | 90 days |
| __avq_eng | A simple engagement level based on how often you return. | 2 years |
| __avq_consent | Remembers whether you allowed or declined analytics. | 1 year |
If your browser blocks cookies, the same information is kept in your browser’s local storage under similar _avq names, with the same durations. A test cookie, __avq_t, is set and deleted instantly to check whether cookies work.
When cookies are used
- EEA and UK visitors: analytics cookies are set only after you agree in the banner. Until then we receive only an anonymous, cookieless page ping.
- Everyone else: analytics run by default. You can turn them off above at any time.
Other ways to control cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security; Safari: Settings → Privacy; Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security; Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions). The site works the same with cookies blocked. This site does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals—please use the controls above.
